Parents - Parent Club

Teesdale Primary School Parents' Club

Teesdale Parents' Club meet monthly in the Mudbrick Kitchen building.

There is a cost of $1 to be paid annually to join and be a member of the Teesdale Parents' Club.

What do you do at the Parents' Club Meetings?

At meetings we discuss and plan social and fundraising events.  We are presented with a report from our Principal and also a report from the School Council representative.  We are kept informed about many things that are happening around the school.

What else does the Parents' Club do?

The Parents' Club organises several major fundraising activities through the year.  The Walkathon, Discos, Trivia Nights, just to name a few.  We also organise lunch days for the students, cater at sporting events, Orientation Day, local market stalls, Bunning's Sausage Sizzle and raffles.

So what are achievements of the Parents' Club?

Each year the Parents'Club raise money for our school.  Fundraising through the Club help support the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program.  Funds raised have helped extend our playground equipment and purchased books for our Library.  Our fundraising is just one of the reasons you are able to send your children to a school as well equipped as Teesdale.

What would I have to do if I joined?

Nothing, everything, or somewhere in between.  We have monthly meetings that you are most welcome to attend.  Various sub committees are set up through the year for different activities we are organising.  How much you choose to do is up to you.

I have small children, will it be a problem?

You can bring them along to any of our meetings. Lots of our members have small children.

Will I feel welcome?

YES!  We would love to have you.  The Parents' Club is not only an excellent way to contribute to the school but it is also a great way to meet parents from other year levels. We are a friendly group and welcome all new members.

If you have any further questions, please come and speak to one of our members:

Kim Andrews, Genevieve Eiljah, Kristy Hay, Clare Morrison, Heather Parkinson, Susan Ryan, Deb Smith and Anne Wise.

Alternatively you can contact the school office.
